Pirate

Parables

100 illustrated parables to help you hear God’s voice and build a crew worth sailing with.

‍Whether you feel lost at sea or landlocked, this book invites you into the journey.

  • The Landlocked Pirate / Spiritually burnt out
Plays it safe, convinced there’s no treasure out there

  • The Gangplank Pirate / Curious, but not all in
Close to the crew, but never fully stepping aboard

  • The Deaf Pirate / Wanting to hear God more clearly
On the ship, but unsure how to hear the Captain’s voice

  • The Scurvy Crew / Hungry for real community
Surviving on scraps, missing the fullness available

Which pirate are you?

Most people see themselves in one of these. But there’s another kind of pirate entirely…

Meet Parker

Dyslexic Pirate Author / Inventor

Parker Wonser never set out to write a book. He’s an inventor based in Music City, building new ideas and chasing a lifelong dream of bringing products to life. With a patented music invention gaining traction, everything was moving forward until God asked him to do something he didn’t expect: share the parables he had been quietly writing during his morning devotions.

It didn’t make sense. Parker is severely dyslexic and never saw himself as a writer. He tried to move on from it, but the call wouldn’t leave him alone. When he finally went back and counted the parables he had written, he discovered there were far more than he thought. That moment changed everything. What began as hesitation turned into a simple yes.

That yes became Pirate Parables, a collection of 100 illustrated stories woven into a larger journey, designed to help people hear the voice of the Good Captain and build a crew worth sailing with. But the story didn’t stop with the book. Parker took the message on the road, building a pirate ship camper and launching a nationwide treasure hunt, hiding coins across the country, each one pointing back to the same invitation: to seek what is real, hear God’s voice, and find your treasure.

Reviews

“Parker the Pirate invites us on a fantastic voyage! Pirate Parables shares his story while inviting us to seek the treasure within each tale. The greatest treasure, however, is how readers discover their own story in these pages of wonder and woe.”
