Once all 1,000 coins are placed, one location will secretly hold a real gold coin worth $10,000.
Those who have redeemed a brass coin will be the first to receive an exclusive clue pointing to its location.

No. Every Treasure Outpost participates in the treasure hunt by hosting hidden pirate coins, but only some locations have upgraded to become official book retailers.

Coins are being placed over time across all 50 states. The pins on the map are up to date and show all current coin locations. Follow the map and clues to see where the hunt is active.

The map is updated as new coins are hidden and locations are activated. Check back often, new spots are added regularly.

A Treasure Outpost is an official Pirate Parables partner location that helps host the nationwide treasure hunt by hiding pirate coins and supporting the mission.

Treasure Outposts can choose to upgrade to become an official Pirate Parables retailer. Retailers keep Pirate Parables in stock for customers and are marked with a special book icon on the treasure map.

Not necessarily. We look first for places that align with the heart of Pirate Parables: community, curiosity, hospitality, and meaningful conversation. Many of our favorite Outposts are Christian owned businesses, but we’re ultimately looking for places where the treasure hunt can genuinely bless people and point people toward something deeper.
The Pirate Code
To keep the hunt fair, fun, and clear for everyone, here are the official rules of the Pirate Parables treasure hunt:
• Respect the Shops: Treasure hunters must respect each shop, its staff, and its customers. Do not enter employee-only areas, move merchandise, search behind counters, disturb guests, or damage property while looking for a coin. Coins are hidden in fair, public-facing locations. If you have to break something to find it, you’re doing it wrong.
• One brass coin redemption per person: Each brass coin may be redeemed for one free copy of Pirate Parables. Limit one redemption per person.
• Coins must be physically found: Coins must be discovered in person at their hidden location. Online claims or transferred claims are not eligible.
• Employees and store owners are not eligible: Store owners, employees, immediate family members, and anyone directly involved in placing a coin are not eligible to redeem that specific coin.
• No purchase necessary: No purchase is required to participate in the treasure hunt or redeem a brass coin.
• Gold coin clues: The gold is revealed last. After all brass coins have been hidden and the $10,000 gold coin has been placed, verified brass coin finders will receive exclusive early access to the first official clue.
• Verification process: To redeem a brass coin, participants must submit the coin’s unique serial number, a photo holding the coin, and shipping information through the official redemption form.
• Lost, stolen, or damaged coins: Only physically recovered coins may be redeemed. Lost, stolen, damaged, or unverified coins may not be eligible for redemption. Final verification is determined by Wonser Park LLC.
• Clue releases: Clues are released after coins are officially hidden and may be shared through the website, email updates, and social channels including YouTube @PirateParables.
• Sponsor: This treasure hunt is sponsored and administered by Wonser Park LLC.
